Weather Policy: Hanks Hikes are outdoor adventures and may continue in light rain, mild snow, mud, or other safe weather conditions. Hikes may be modified, shortened, postponed, or canceled if weather or trail conditions become unsafe, including thunderstorms, lightning, extreme temperatures, flooding, poor air quality, or other hazardous conditions. If Hanks House cancels a hike before it begins due to unsafe weather, clients may reschedule or receive a full credit toward a future hike. If unsafe weather develops after a hike has already begun, the hike may be shortened or ended early for the safety of the pets in our care. Refunds will not be issued for weather-related interruptions; however, when a significant portion of the scheduled hike cannot be completed, a partial credit or rescheduling option may be offered at Hanks House’s discretion. Client cancellations due to weather are subject to the standard cancellation policy unless Hanks House determines conditions are unsafe.
