Cancellation Policy

At Hanks House, your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are our top priority. By booking a Drop-In Visit, you agree to the following policies: Pet Health & Safety: Pets must be free from contagious illnesses and owners must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, medications, injuries, behavioral concerns, bite history, or special needs before the visit. Hanks House reserves the right to decline or discontinue care if a pet presents a safety or health concern. Care Instructions: Owners are responsible for providing accurate feeding, medication, potty, exercise, and care instructions, along with current emergency contact and veterinary information. Medications must be clearly labeled with instructions and provided in advance. Home Access: Clients must provide reliable access to the home before the scheduled visit. If Hanks House cannot enter due to incorrect or missing keys, codes, locks, or access instructions, the visit may still be charged. Walks & Outdoor Time: Dogs will remain on leash at all times during walks unless in a secure, designated area. Owners must disclose any history of pulling, escaping, reactivity, or aggression. Weather: Outdoor portions of visits are weather permitting. Extreme heat, storms, heavy rain, snow, ice, or unsafe conditions may require a walk to be shortened or replaced with indoor enrichment and care. Weather-related modifications do not qualify for a refund. Emergencies: If a pet becomes ill or injured, Hanks House will make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or emergency contact. If immediate veterinary care is necessary and the owner cannot be reached, Hanks House is authorized to seek veterinary care. The owner is responsible for all veterinary, medical, transportation, and related expenses. Cancellations: Cancellations made 7+ days before the scheduled visit may be eligible for a partial refund or rescheduling. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the visit, including same-day cancellations and no-shows, are non-refundable. By booking, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you have read and agree to the Hanks House Drop-In Services Policy.
